The driver of a pickup truck died when he crashed into a utility pole in Moon Township late Wednesday night, according to police.

Officers responding to a report of a single-vehicle crash shortly after 11 p.m. at the intersection of University Boulevard and Stoops Ferry Road found the driver dead inside the vehicle, police said.

Police said the name of the 33-year-old victim is not being released until family members have been notified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The crash is being investigated by Moon Township Police.
