A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday after he was stabbed in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood, officials said.
Emergency dispatchers received a report of the incident near Baum Boulevard and Morewood Avenue shortly before 5 p.m., an Allegheny County 911 shift commander said.
Responding officers found a man with a stab wound to his neck, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said.
Medics took the injured man to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Officials closed one lane on a stretch of Baum Boulevard while investigating.
The road reopened about an hour later, Matthews said.
No further details were immediately available.
