Man hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Hill District

A man was hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Hill District Monday.

City police responded to a Shotspotter alert along the 2100 block of Wylie Avenue around 7:20 p.m.

Authorities said officers found a man suffering from a gunshot would to his left arm not far away from the area along the 2200 block of Webster Avenue.

He told police he was shot on Wylie Avenue, and then was transported to a local hospital by Pittsburgh EMS in stable condition, authorities said.

No description of a suspect was given. The investigation is ongoing.
