Emergency crews respond to a scene on Marberry Drive in O’Hara after a tree reportedly fell and killed a man at a home on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.

Police have identified a man who died Monday when a tree fell on him during tree-trimming work at a home in O’Hara.

Adam Hursen, 33, was killed at about 10:45 a.m. at a home on Marberry Drive, said Inspector Andrew Schurman.

Hursen was working for Tree Masters, which had been contracted to remove trees from the area. As crews removed one of the trees, it fell unexpectedly, Schurman said. That tree struck another tree, causing it to fall onto a man standing about 40 feet away.

Schurman said Hursen was pinned beneath the second tree before he was freed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
