A man is in critical condition Thursday evening after getting shot multiple times in Wilkinsburg, police said.
Officials received a 911 call regarding the shooting about 5:20 p.m. near Stoner Way and Swissvale Avenue, Allegheny County Police Inspector Andrew Schurman said.
First responders arrived to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds, Schurman said.
The victim, whom police did not identify, was taken to a nearby trauma hospital.
As of 7 p.m., he was in “critical but stable condition,” Schurman said.
Officials did not immediately provide further details or release any information on possible suspects.
The county’s homicide detectives are investigating.
