A man allegedly took a vehicle without permission in the Mount Washington section of Pittsburgh at about 12:50 p.m. Saturday then jumped out and ran into a house and refused to come out, a police spokeswoman said.

Officers surrounded the house along the 100 block of Secane Avenue. The man, who was thought to have a handgun, wouldn’t come out, said police spokeswoman Alicia George.

The police SWAT team arrived. Soon after the man came out to surrender without incident.

He was taken into custody. His name was not immediately released.

No one was injured.

George said charges are pending.
