A McKees Rocks woman tried to run down her ex-boyfriend during an argument and, when that failed, she beat him with an aluminum baseball bat, police said.

The incident happened shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday at a home near Saxon Way and Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln-Lemington, according to a Pittsburgh police report.

A 26-year-old man told police that his ex-girlfriend, Deserea McKoy, came to his home to discuss an issue with their child, according to the report.

The discussion evolved into an argument, and McKoy drove her car onto the sidewalk and hit the man, police said. Investigators said passing drivers stopped when they saw the man roll onto the hood of McKoy’s car.

When the man tried to flee, McKoy got out of her car with an aluminum baseball bat and beat him “multiple times,” police said.

Responding officers arrested McKoy at the scene. Court records show she is charged with aggravated assault and attempted homicide. The man’s condition was not immediately available.
