A McKeesport man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on a charge of illegally having a pistol and ammunition.
Eric Antoin Johnson, 22, faces the charges. According to prosecutors, Johnson late last month had a 9 mm pistol and ammunition for it even though he had previously been convicted of robbery and assault.
If convicted, Johnson could be sentenced to one to 10 years in federal prison and fined for having, the U.S. Attorney’s office said Wednesday.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Criswell Wiegand is prosecuting the case.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Findlay Township Police Department conducted the investigation.
