A fire in this home along Karl Street in Duquesne claimed the lives of two people on May 29, 2020.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the second victim killed Thursday night or early Friday morning in a house fire in Duquesne.

Karissa Anne Conner, 23, of Duquesne was pronounced dead at the scene after the fire on Karl Avenue.

The medical examiner’s office previously identified the other victim as Krystian Andrew McDonnell, 23.

Firefighters arrived to find the 2½-story brick building filled with intense flames that prevented them from entering.

They got the fire under control shortly after 1 a.m. Friday.

One of the victims was found in a second-floor bedroom, the other at the top of a stairwell, according to the Duquesne Fire Department.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
