A Monroeville man known as “Big Boy” was indicted by a federal grand jury after allegedly distributing fentanyl and heroin and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Davon Carter Williams, 31, was indicted on four counts stemming from December 2016 and February 2017 incidents where Williams possessed heroin with the intent to distribute, according to U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady.

From April 2018 to Feb. 6, 2019, he allegedly conspired with others to possess with the intent to distribute at least 1 kilogram and fentanyl on that latter date, Brady said. Williams also allegedly possessed a gun and ammunition on two occasions as a convicted felon and in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The Monroeville Police Department and FBI conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas C. Maloney is prosecuting the case.
