No one was hurt after a fire spread from a vacant house to an occupied neighboring home in Homewood, according to Pittsburgh police.

The fire in the 7100 block of Idlewild Street was reported around 9:30 p.m. It went to three alarms.

The vacant home was fully involved and the fire eventually spread to a neighboring, free-standing home.

Firefighters contained the fire in about 45 minutes.

The vacant home sustained heavy damage, while the occupied home had substantial damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
