No new deaths related to coronavirus reported in Allegheny County

There were no new deaths in Allegheny County from the coronavirus, county health officials said Sunday, leaving the countywide total at 19.

The 21 new cases reported Sunday bring the county’s running total to 857.

Of those who tested positive for the virus, 130 have been hospitalized at some point, 50 required admission to an intensive care unit and 27 have needed a ventilator. Of those hospitalized, 80 were white and 22 were black.

0-9: 5 (1%) 10-19: 14 (2%) 20-29: 162 (19%) 30-39: 125 (15%) 40-49: 115 (13%) 50-59: 169 (20%) 60-69: 123 (14%) 70 and older: 144 (17%)

A new county health department web page includes additional information about the total number of tests administered countywide and a map showing the municipalities and city neighborhoods in which people diagnosed with covid-19 live.

Within Pittsburgh, Squirrel Hill South has the highest number of cases at 18. Among other municipalities, Richland has reported the highest number of cases at 47. There are 24 reported cases in McCandless and 22 in Penn Hills.

The map does not include the number of tests administered in each neighborhood.
