The North Hills DUI Task Force will be out this weekend searching for motorists who get behind the wheel after having too much St. Patrick’s Day cheer.

The task force is planning sobriety check points and roving patrols to keep dangerous drivers off the road.

The task force is made up of officers from Bradford Woods, Etna, Indiana, Marshall, O’Hara, Pine, Richland, Ross, Shaler, West Deer, McCandless, West View and Millvale.

In the 17 years the task force has been in operation, 220 check points/roving patrols have been conducted. Officers have conducted 2,060 field sobriety tests, which resulted in 932 arrests.
