It’s the time of year when everyone wants to be close to Santa Claus, especially children.
Kids of all ages will have that opportunity Sunday when the North Park Ice Rink hosts its annual Skate with Santa event from noon to 4 p.m. Winter recreation enthusiasts are invited to join Santa and his elves for an afternoon of outdoor ice skating.
Santa will be sitting for photos with children throughout the event, so parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their cameras and smartphones.
Regular ice rink admission and rental fees apply.
