A Pittsburgh man died Wednesday after crashing into the back of a Port Authority bus along McKnight Road, authorities said.

Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim Wednesday night as Anthony Diulus, 50.

Allegheny County dispatchers said the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. near the East Arcadia Drive intersection in McCandless.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause and manner of death were not released.

There were a dozen passengers on board the bus heading outbound at the time of the crash.

Port Authority spokesman Adam Brandolph said one passenger was checked for injuries at the scene and released by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported.

McKnight Road was closed in both directions as crews worked to clear the roadway between East Arcadia Drive and Cumberland Road. It reopened shortly before 7:30 p.m.

McCandless police are investigating.
