An Ohio man was indicted this week in connection with a bank robbery in Robinson, according to federal prosecutors.

Montague Howard, 40, is accused of pointing what appeared to be a gun at a First Commonwealth Bank teller on Jan. 15, authorities said. He got away from the Park Manor Drive bank with $8,583 and fled to Ohio.

Howard was apprehended later that day in Wintersville, Ohio with the help of police there, according to U.S. Attorney Scott Brady. He is charged with armed bank robbery.

Howard was being held in an Ohio jail on unrelated offenses, according to filings in the federal case. A warrant was issued for his arrest by a federal judge in Pittsburgh. No court action has been scheduled.
