A Homestead man shot and killed one man and injured another over a parking dispute, Allegheny County Police said.

Neil Chandler, 42, is accused of shooting two men who went to a Homestead home on Thursday after a funeral, according to a criminal complaint.

Calvin Walker, 39, of West Mifflin died at UPMC Mercy. The other victim, a 40-year-old man, was treated and released from the hospital, police said.

The shooting in the 300 block of West Oak Street happened shortly before 5 p.m.

A witness told police that people had gathered at a home on Sylvan Avenue after a funeral. Some of the cars were parked on West Oak Street. While people gathered outside, a man came around the corner in a black sedan and complained the parked cars were blocking the alley, the witness told police.

The man drove away, returned on foot, and began shooting at Walker and the other man, the witness told police. The witness was able to identify Chandler as the shooter through a photo array, according to police.

Chandler is charged with homicide, aggravated assault and a firearms violation.
