The High Occupancy Vehicle lanes along the Parkway North will reopen on Monday after being closed since April 2, PennDOT announced.

The HOV ramp to Perrysville Avenue/Park and Ride will remain closed while improvement work continues. The ramp is expected to reopen July 3.

Minor improvement work also will require the HOV lanes to close overnight on non-event evenings.

The inbound lanes are scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. June 18 and will follow the regular schedule:

• Inbound: 6 to to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday with two or more passengers required.

• Outbound: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, two ore more passengers; Monday through Friday and weekends, 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., no minimum passenger requirement.

The lanes were closed for concrete patching, asphalt work, new gates, installation of a wrong-way detection system and new signs and control systems.

The work is part of an $87.94 million improvement project along I-279.
