Patricia Dodge named U.S. magistrate judge for Western Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh attorney Patricia L. Dodge has been named a magistrate judge for the U.S. District Court of Western Pennsylvania.

Her selection was announced by the court’s board of judges and is effective June 3. Her official duty station will be Pittsburgh, and she will serve an initial eight-year term.

Dodge, of Thornburg, is the former managing partner of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, where she specialized in complex commercial litigation, oil and gas disputes and employment law.

Dodge earned her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and her law degree, cum laude, from Duquesne University. She has practiced law nationally for more than 35 years.

She has served as president of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, president of Thornburg Borough Council and a board member of the National Aviary in Pittsburgh.
