Police seek car in connection with fatal Pittsburgh hit-and-run incident, victim identified
A man killed in a hit-and-run incident Friday morning on Pittsburgh’s North Side has been identified, and police have released a description of a car they say may have been involved.
Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Richard Faessel, 33, of Oakdale.
He was found injured on Chateau Street in the Manchester neighborhood about 7 a.m., according to Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz.
A driver came upon the man in the street and called police, Cruz said. He did not witness the incident.
Faessel was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead about half an hour later.
Police described the vehicle as a gray or gunmetal gray sedan with tinted windows, possibly a Volvo.
