Heavy metal band Metallica is asking for some time from their fans to volunteer at local food banks.

The band announced its second annual Day of Service set for May 22 and called on fans to connect with food banks in their area and volunteer their time.

“In cooperation with Feeding America we’ve been proud to make contributions to their local partners in each city we performed in during the ’17, ’18, and ’19 WorldWired Tour dates and we’re asking you to give a few hours of your time on May 22nd supporting the fight against hunger in your neighborhoods,” the band said in a statement.

Everyone who registers to volunteer will receive a special All Within My Hands t-shirt to commemorate the day. The statement asks that volunteers register as walk-ins or anyone not registers won’t be able to volunteer.

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in Duquesne is one of over 50 food banks across the country taking part in the effort. People can can more information and sign up here.
