People arrive prior to one of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s emergency drive-up food distribution sites at Pittsburgh International Airport on April 22, 2020.

The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host two drive-up distributions this week, one at Pittsburgh International Airport and one at PPG Paints Arena.

The event at the airport will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Parking lots open at 11 a.m., and the distribution can accommodate 1,000 vehicles.

The distribution at PPG Paints Arena will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the arena parking lots. That distribution also can accommodate 1,000 vehicles.

Each vehicle will receive two boxes of food, and those waiting in line must remain in their vehicles at all times, except to use outdoor restrooms.

The food bank will continue to host drive-up distributions at its headquarters in Duquesne every Monday. The next event is from noon to 3 p.m. May 11. Attendees are asked to line up their vehicles no earlier than 11 a.m.
