Taylor Wible, 18, of Pittsburgh, was arrested in connection with a robbery in McCandless.

A Pittsburgh man is accused of attacking a woman in a McCandless parking lot this week and trying to steal her wallet, according to court papers.

Taylor Dale Wible, 18, of the Terrace Village neighborhood, was being held in the Allegheny County Jail on $100,000 bail. He is charged with aggravated assault, robbery and related offenses.

McCandless police said in court papers that the victim was in a parking lot on Covenant Avenue on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. when she was attacked. The victim reported being punched in the head for about 50 seconds by the suspect who then demanded her wallet.

The suspect fled McCandless Crossing when a man approached to help the woman, police said. The victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of head and face lacerations.

Officers tracked down the suspect, later identified as Wible. Police confiscated brass knuckles, a cell phone and a pair of black gloves.

Wible did not have an attorney listed in online court records. An April 17 preliminary hearing is set.
