Pittsburgh man accused of federal gun and drug crimes
A Pittsburgh man was indicted by a federal grand jury on drug and gun charges.
Romello Edward Jones, 20, was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Authorities said Jones, a convicted felon, possessed the drugs, firearm and ammunition on May 6.
Federal law prohibits a convicted felon from possessing a firearm or ammunition.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of up to 30 years in prison, a fine of up to $1.25 million, or both.
The FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police conducted the investigation
