A Pittsburgh man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh to having fentanyl with the intent of selling it.

William Lewis, 30, entered the plea before Senior United States District Court Judge David S. Cercone.

Prosecutors said that, on Aug. 5, 2017, Pittsburgh police searched Lewis’ residence in the city’s Oakland neighborhood and found a quantity of suspected heroin and a substance that tested positive for a type of fentanyl. They also found stamp bags and packaging paraphernalia.

Cercone scheduled sentencing for Oct. 9.

He ordered Lewis to remain in jail pending sentencing.
