Pittsburgh musician Frzy looking to break Guinness record with 31-hour rap
Pittsburgh music artist Frzy will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest freestyle rap at a performance Saturday at The Block Northway in Ross Township.
“This attempt will be 31 hours. The mall will stay open the whole time. Come down and support, play games with us and help inspire me to keep going cause I’ll be freestyling the whole time,” the artist wrote in a social media post.

Harvey “Frzy” Daniels is scheduled to begin his record-breaking session at 10 a.m. at the shopping center and will try to keep it going through 5 p.m. Sunday.
The record is held by Los Angeles rapper Pablo Alvarez, who performed continuously for 25 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds in August 2017, according to Guinness.
Donations received during the performance will be donated to the MusiCares charity.
Frzy won an Emmy in 2018 for his collaboration with WQED Multimedia and PBS on a video tribute to the 50th Anniversary of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” that included a remixed version of the show’s theme song “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” that was penned by the artist.
