Pittsburgh police arrested a man in Bloomfield early Friday morning for an alleged kidnapping that happened in Wilkinsburg, authorities said.

City police responded to Cypress Street about 2:45 a.m. after a reported abduction, said Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri.

He said the kidnapping was reported in Wilkinsburg, and the man allegedly took the female victim to the Cypress Street home. Witnesses told officers they saw a man drag the woman into the house.

Officers forced their way into the home when no one answered the door, Togneri said. They found the suspect, Travis Moore, inside the home with the woman, who was bruised and injured.

Moore, 24, was arrested and charged with unlawful restraint and simple assault. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 14.

The woman was driven back to her home.

Togneri said the incident remains under investigation.
