Pittsburgh police chase, detain suspect in Terrace Village shooting

Pittsburgh police say they detained a man in connection with a shooting in the Terrace Village area early Sunday morning.

According to police, officers responded to a ShotSpotter report of gunfire around 1:30 a.m.

They found a 27-year-old man in the 2600 block of Centre Avenue with a gunshot wound to a foot.

Officers detained a man matching a description of the shooter after chasing him on foot. No other information on that person was provided.

The victim was taken to an unidentified hospital in stable condition.
