No one was injured in a Sunday morning shooting in Larimer, but Pittsburgh police said they are looking for a suspect who fled the scene.

The shooting took place shortly after 3 a.m. in the 100 block of Putnam Street.

Zone 5 police officers were in the area when they heard multiple gunshots and saw a vehicle from which the shots appeared to be originating, said Cara Cruz, public safety spokeswoman. The officers and additional units followed the vehicle as it took off toward Homewood.

Police followed the vehicle around several streets before it crashed at the intersection of Oakwood and Haverhill streets. The male driver, who was the only person inside, got out and ran away. Police brought in a police dog to look for him, but weren’t able to find him, Cruz said.

There were no victims found at the original shooting scene on Putnam and the surrounding area, Cruz said.

Police continue to investigate.
