A man was shot in the back and a woman detained for questioning Saturday in Pittsburgh’s Uptown section, according to police.

Pittsburgh police responded about 12:15 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert followed by notification that a man had shown up to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his back, said Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz.

Investigators found what might have been the crime scene on Seneca Street in the Bluff neighborhood, Cruz said. Officers and a police dog searched a home on the street, and a woman was taken to police headquarters for questioning.

No charges have been filed. There was no information available on the injured man’s condition.
