Pittsburgh police nab man wanted for Downtown parking garage robbery

A 21-year-old Pittsburgh man sought for a Dec. 6 robbery at a parking garage in Downtown Pittsburgh was arrested Saturday, Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri said.

Michael Lipovsik III is facing charges of robbery and possessing instruments of crime in the case, according to online court records.

He is accused of robbing a woman at about 5 p.m. in a parking garage in the 600 block of Smithfield Street. Lipovsik was caught on surveillance camera changing his clothing, and police released photos of him on social media to identify him.

Lipovsik is in Allegheny County Jail on $25,000 bail.
