Pittsburgh was named one of the top 10 cities for a high number of Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants, according to Apartment Guide, a rental website that helps people find apartments.
According to the study, Pittsburgh has 10 Chipotles, or about one restaurant for every 30,241 people, ranking eighth in the nation.
Cincinnati, Ohio, tops the list with one restaurant per almost every 16,740 people. The city has 18 Chipotles. Orlando, Fla., Scottsdale, Ariz., Alexandria, Va., Cambridge, Mass., Cleveland, Ohio, and Minneapolis, Minn., also are in the top 10 list.
But those cities don’t top the list for most Chipotles in an area. New York, N.Y., has 50 of the restaurants, followed by Chicago, Ill., with 35 Chipotles.
Apartment Guide took cities with populations higher than 100,000 people based on U.S. Census Bureau data and used 8 million business listings to count the number of Chipotle locations with a mailing address in each city. The area’s population was divided by that total to figure out the number of Chipotle restaurants for each resident.
The listing does not reflect new openings or closings.
Chipotle’s with a Pittsburgh mailing address are located along Baum Boulevard, Forbes Avenue, Freeport Road, Cochran Road, Centre Avenue, Clairton Boulevard, Covenant Avenue, McKnight Road and McHolme Drive.
