Donnie Iris, Joe Grushecky, Norman Nardini, Bill Deasy and other Pittsburgh rock legends will perform during a 12-hour living room concert on Facebook Live.

Set for noon to midnight April 18 on the Pittsburgh Service Staff AID page, the event will benefit area hospitality industry workers facing hardships due to covid-19 restrictions.

About 60 national and Pittsburgh-based musicians, bands, artists and celebrities will perform from their homes, with the roster also including John Vento with David Granatti, Jimbo Jackson, Chris Higbee, The Jacob’s Ferry Stragglers, Chris Jamison, Borstal Boys, Melinda Colaizzi and Lyndsey Smith.

“The hospitality industry has been hit very hard during this crisis. The economic impact of reduced and lost work due to the coronavirus outbreak marks an unprecedented time in our community and will surely add to the need for those already struggling to make ends meet,” according to the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The initial goal is to raise $20,000 for affected workers.

Donations can be made at app.mobilecause.com.

Checks can be sent to United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, 1250 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Those sending checks should write “Emergency Basic Needs-Hospitality Workers” on the memo line to ensure it goes to this specific fund.
