During Wednesday night’s episode of CBS’ “The Amazing Race,” Pittsburgh native Becca Droz and her teammate Floyd Pierce ranked third, keeping them in the running for next week’s primetime reality TV show, according to the GoldDerby website.

Droz and Pierce, known as “Team Fun,” are among seven teams currently vying for a $1 million prize on a 25,000-plus mile journey around the world. The duo competed on the show in 2017 and was asked back for this year’s all-star season.

Last week, Team Fun came in first place in one of two episodes featuring them flying on the world’s longest zip line in Dubai.

The “Living Fearlessly” episode last night featured the competing teams going to Switzerland where, among other feats, they did a free fall of more than 400 feet in the Gletscherschlucht glacier gorge.

Droz is a 2008 graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School in Squirrel Hill. She currently works as an entrepreneur and rock climbing instructor in Boulder, Colo.

“Although jumping off of cliffs and zip lining over Dubai seems terrifying for me, it’s so wonderful, as a parent, to see our daughter Becca enjoying every minute of this experience,” said proud father, Dan Droz. He and his wife, Becca’s mother Cathy, still reside in Pittsburgh.

“It’s great that she and Floyd are doing so well,” he added.
