Police: 1 person dead after shooting in Northview Heights

One person died Sunday night after being shot in Northview Heights, Pittsburgh police said.

Officers responded to a Shotspotter alert in the 100 block of Penfort Street around 9:40 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Medics pronounced the man dead on scene. He was not immediately identified.

No other injuries were reported. At this time, police do not have any suspects.
