Two people were fatally shot Wednesday night in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, according to police.

The woman who died was Kierra Eddisha Harris, 26, of McKees Rocks, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said Thursday. The medical examiner said Harris died of gunshot wounds to the neck and chest. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The identity of the man who died was not immediately available.

Police responded to a Shotspotter alert around 10:40 p.m. near the corner of Kelly and Collier streets.

They arrived to find a man dead next to a parked vehicle and a woman, later identified as Harris, in the street suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Medics took Harris to UPMC Presbyterian hospital, where she died, the medical examiner said.

Police continue to investigate.
