Allegheny County police believe a man and a woman were shot to death Sunday night in Wilkinsburg by a passenger their car.

Police found Elarrah Nichole Findley, 18, of Pittsburgh lying in the road in the 700 block of Midland Street after multiple 911 calls were received shortly after 9 p.m. Police also discovered Jerrell Jeffries, 22, with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car on the same street.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, county police said.

Police said they believe the Findley and Jeffries were sitting in the front seat of the vehicle with a third, unknown person in the back seat. Police believe the passenger in the back shot Jeffries while Findley tried to get away by running down the street. The shooter pursued and killed her.

Police said the motive for the shooting was not known and no suspects had been identified.

Anyone who heard or saw anything is asked to call the county police tip line at 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
