Police are investigating a shooting that injured two teenage boys Thursday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood, officials said.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near Westmont and Copperfield avenues shortly before 3:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

They arrived to find two teens suffering from gunshot wounds, Cruz said. One had been shot in the shoulder, the other in the neck.

Medics took the two shooting victims to a nearby hospital, where both were listed in stable condition.

Their ages were not immediately available.

Police continue to investigate. They did not provide further information.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday night.

Anyone with information about the incident can call Pittsburgh’s Zone 3 police station at 412-488-8326. Callers can remain anonymous.
