Police arrested two teens in connection to the armed robbery of a Starbucks coffee shop inside a hotel in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood, officials said Friday.

Malik Solomon of Pittsburgh and Nakila Spencer of Brentwood, both 19, are accused of making off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Starbucks inside the Courtyard by Marriott on Liberty Avenue near Baum Boulevard about two weeks ago, Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

Each face charges of robbery and conspiracy.

Shortly before 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 30, a man and woman — identified as Solomon and Spencer — entered the hotel’s Starbucks wearing camouflage ski masks and all-black clothing, with their hoods pulled up over their heads, Cruz said.

Both suspects displayed guns tucked into their waistbands, the store’s manager told police.

The male suspect then ordered the manager to open the register and hand over all the money inside, police said.

The two suspects also took the money from the tip jars, police said.
