Police ask for help to locate McKeesport man charged in alley shooting
A 19-year-old man accused of firing 14 shots from a rifle into a 2007 Ford Taurus driven by another 19-year-old and wounding him has been charged with attempted homicide and other charges, according to Allegheny County police.
County police Wednesday filed charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangering and criminal mischief against Kiesean Brown of McKeesport, who remains on the lam.
On Thursday, police released a photo of Brown and asked for people who know where he may be to call 1-833-255-8477.
Brown is about 6 feet tall and of medium build.
McKeesport police were dispatched to Jenny Lind Street, where they found the 19-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds to his back. The man was taken to Forbes Regional Hospital and was in critical condition.
He was able to identify the shooter as Brown and told police he was driving the car on Irwin Alley near Freemont Street with his 13-year-old brother and a 20-year-old friend, according to the complaint.
They were going to his grandmother’s house to get a jack to put new tires on the car when they say Brown, who had a rifle with a scope on it, the man told police, according to the complaint.
As they drove past Brown, he started shooting at them, the man told police, according to the complaint.
The man’s brother and friend weren’t hit or hurt by the gunshots, police said. Police initially reported the 20-year-old was driving the car, but the 19-year-old who was shot told police he was behind the wheel, the complaint said.
