Pittsburgh police said someone who allegedly vandalized a police car during protests May 30 wore these clothes.

A Butler man was arrested Thursday and accused of aggravated assault and other crimes in connection with the May 30 protests in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Jordan Erdos, 20, was apprehended and taken to the Allegheny County Jail, police said.

Erdos is charged with riot, recklessly engendering another person, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct in the violence that took place near PPG Paints Arena during the Black Lives Matter protest.

Erdos is accused of vandalizing a marked police vehicle and looting businesses during the event, according to a criminal complaint.

He was seen on video punching and kicking the vehicle and striking a man in front of the arena, according to the criminal complaint.

Erdos was also observed breaking a window at a state Fine Wine & Spirits store and attempting to break another one, unsuccessfully, as well as throwing water bottles at officers along Fifth Avenue, according to the complaint.

He told investigators during questioning June 23 he “went to just be part of the protest against the police, but got caught up in the emotions” of the events.
