A Glassport man accused of tying up and assaulting a woman on Monday is wanted by authorities.

Richard Joseph Sciubba III, 37, is charged with aggravated assault, strangulation, aggravated incident assault and unlawful restraint and false imprisonment, according to online court records.

Sciubba was last seen earlier Tuesday in the Carrick section of Pittsburgh, where he fled, police said.

The incident was reported just before 9 p.m. Monday, when the Glassport Police Department received a 911 call from a woman who said she had been held against her will and assaulted at a house in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

According to investigators, Sciubba bound the victim’s hands and feet before assaulting her.

After some time, she was able to free herself and escape by jumping from a second story window, police said.

A warrant has been issued for Sciubba’s arrest.
