Police: Glassport woman expected to survive gunshot wound

Allegheny County police arrested Jonah Reid, 47, after a shooting in Glassport on Thursday night.

According to county police, Glassport police went to a house in the 600 block of Ohio Street around 9 p.m. for a report of a woman who had been shot.

Officers found a 52-year-old woman inside the home with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital in stable condition and was expected to survive, county police said.

A man at the scene was talking with investigators.

Reid has been charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to county police. He is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment.
