Police are investigating a stabbing on Sept. 5, 2019.

Police arrested a Pittsburgh man accused of stabbing a man in the city’s Carrick neighborhood early Thursday, officials said.

Sydney Brown, 23, who lives in Carrick, faces felony charges related to an incident that sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition, according to Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri.

Police responded to a report of a man who was stabbed in the stomach near the 1500 block of Nobles Lane shortly before 2:30 a.m., Togneri said.

Medics took the victim to a nearby hospital.

His condition “was upgraded to stable” by Thursday night, Togneri said. The injured man was not identified.

Brown faces charges of aggravated assault and possessing an instrument of a crime.

Officials did not immediately provide further details.
