Pittsburgh police have charged a man in connection with dispute between a landlord and tenant in Garfield early Monday that ended in a fatal shooting, according to authorities.

Officers from the city’s Zone 5 station responded to a call for a man shot in the 5100 block of Kincaid Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. on July 22, a Pittsburgh police spokeswoman said.

When officers arrived on scene they found a man inside a house with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 37-year-old Matthew Khoury of Pittsburgh.

The initial investigation determined that Khoury was involved in a landlord/tenant dispute involving a stun gun before he was fatally shot, police said.

Police charged Michael Wolf, 49, of Garfield with one count of criminal homicide and possession of an instrument of crime inconnection with the incident.

Wolf is in the Allegheny County Jail.
