A man is in critical condition after he was shot multiple times in McKeesport, according to Allegheny County Police.

McKeesport police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Jenny Lind Street just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday, where they found a 19-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Allegheny County Police.

Allegheny County Police detectives determined the victim was riding in the front passenger seat of a gray Ford Taurus when he was shot.

The car, which was being driven by a 20-year-old man, turned into Irwin Alley off of Fremont Street when a black male in dark clothing began firing into the car.

A 13-year-old boy was in the back seat at the time.

The car stopped at the intersection of Jenny Lind and Fremont Street, where first responders met the victim, according to police.

Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
