Police arrested a Spring Hill woman and charged her with attempted homicide in connection to a shooting that seriously injured a man on Wednesday morning.

A 31-year-old man is in grave condition after being shot several times on Rhine Street in Pittsburgh’s Spring Hill neighborhood, Pittsburgh police said.

Judith White, 32, faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and firearms violations, according to Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri. She is set to be arraigned at Allegheny County Jail.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter notification of multiple gunshots at 10:20 a.m. in the 2100 block of Rhine Street.

When officers arrived, they found the injured man. Medics took him to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be “in critical/grave condition” as of midday Wednesday, police said.

No further updates were available on his condition.

The ShotSpotter system and cameras owned by the city and Allegheny County Housing Authority helped police quickly identify a person of interest in the case, police said.

Police did not provide a possible motive for the shooting.
