Police: Man shot in leg in McKees Rocks

Allegheny County police detectives are assisting in the investigation of a shooting Sunday afternoon in McKees Rocks.

At about 3:23 p.m. McKees Rocks police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Meyers Street. Officers arrived and learned that a man suffered a gunshot wound to his lower leg. He was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police said the man who was shot was seen handling a gun outside a house on Meyers Street when a gunshot was heard.

There were conflicting accounts of what happened, police said and they’re continuing to investigate.
