A 16-year-old from McKees Rocks surrendered to police Monday in connection with the Sunday afternoon shooting in Stowe that killed a Pittsburgh man, police said.

Peyton Wiser is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a gun by a minor, Allegheny County police said. Police said he surrendered Monday afternoon.

Stowe police were called to the shooting at about 3:30 p.m in the 200 block of McCoy Road. Police found 26-year-old Tiawaun Henley of Pittsburgh in the street at Seventh Street and Benwood Avenue with several gunshot wounds.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Henley and said he was pronounced dead Monday afternoon.

Peyton’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 10 at Pittsburgh Municipal Court. Homicide charges were not filed against Wiser as of Monday night.

Further details were unavailable.
