A woman left her three children with a stranger at a bus stop along a busy road while she went to confront her boyfriend about cheating on her, police in Avalon allege.

Avalon police on Tuesday charged Erin Grogan, 31, of Pittsburgh, with three counts of endangering the welfare of children and one count each of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Grogan allegedly left her three kids at a bus stop on the side of Ohio River Boulevard while she went to see her boyfriend nearby, the Trib’s news partner, WPXI-TV, reported.

The children’s ages were not available.

Avalon police arrived to help the kids.

Grogan allegedly told police she went to her boyfriend’s house to confront him about another woman, WPXI reported. She allegedly told officers her kids were fine there because she left them with a stranger.

Grogan was released Wednesday on a nonmonetary bond, according to court records. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Tara Smith on June 13.
